GOD IS STILL SPEAKING! CAN YOU HEAR HIM?

LISTEN GOD IS SPEAKING! CAN YOU HEAR HIM?
WHAT YOU HEAR COUNTS!
YOU CAN HEAR WITH UNDERSTANDING!
YOU CAN HEAR EVEN THE INAUDIBLE WITH THE EAR OF YOUR HEART THAT WILL CONNECT YOU WITH YOUR BREAKTHROUGH AND CAN SEAL YOUR GOD ORDAINED DESTINY!

MEMORY VERSE: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Rom 10:17).

BIBLE READING: Romans 10:16-18
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

Many people who intend to make contact with the Lord may be lost in the crowd except God's mercy works in their favour. This season, in any way you have been hindered by a crowd, the mercy of God will fish you out in Jesus name. Another lesson from the story of blind Bartimaeus recorded in Mark 10:46-52 is that God's mercy can make you hear what will connect you with your breakthrough. What you hear is very important because it can affect your thoughts and actions. This is one reason you should surround yourself with people who can positively affect your faith by what they say. If you associate with optimists, you will likely continue to strive towards your goal. But if you frolic with pessimists, you will give up on your goal. What kind of company do you keep? What kind of words do you listen to?
It was what Bartimaeus heard that prompted his crying out. Until he heard that Jesus was passing his way, he was quietly begging for alms. The moment he heard this good news, he began to cry out for mercy. Until he heard Jesus was passing by, he was focused on men, but after he heard of the Lord's itinerary, he changed his focus. What you hear can change your focus. If you are still concentrating on men for that job or assistance, it is because you have not heard the right word. Today, many are discouraged because they cannot hear the information or prophetic utterance that will take them to the next level. The link between your present level and the next is information. May you hear what will take you to your next level today! When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus passed by, he began to shout. What you hear can provoke the spirit of violence that you need to possess your possession. The prayers of many believers are so cold that they may never receive an answer from God, except by an act of divine mercy. Brethren, the truth is, you are either saying a prayer of tolerance or a prayer of violence. For many years, Bartimaeus prayed a prayer of tolerance and got nothing. It took his hearing the right information to switch his prayer mode. The word that will provoke you to change your prayer mode and connect you to your breakthrough will reach you today. What are you hearing?

THE FATHER’S BLESSING:”I pray for you today. The Lord, even our God shall open your inner ears, the ear of your understanding to hear the mysteries of God. The Lord will grant you the unique privilege granted to the children of promise to discover the use of the ear of their heart to hear God speak to your situation and the heart of obedience to act on what you hear so that you are connected to the breakthrough that will seal your destiny in the name of Jesus.”(Amen)

KEY ACTION FOR TODAY
If you pray wrong, you will not get an answer. But if you pray right, it may take you few minutes to get your answer. What is your prayer like? Pray right.

DARE TO BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE!

GOLDEN VESSELS
THERE ARE DIFFERENT CATEGORIES OF VESSELS UNTO HONOUR IN THE SERVICE OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD: GOLDEN, SILVER, BRONZE, WOODEN AND EARTHEN: DARE TO BE THE BEST THAT YOU CAN BE!
MEMORY VERSE: "But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour" (2 Tim 2:20).
BIBLE READING: Acts 8:5-8
5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.
6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.
8 And there was great joy in that city.

G
God can use all categories of people for His purpose. Some may be used for honourable purposes and others for dishonourable purposes. May the Lord use you for honourable purposes in Jesus name. There is this friend of mine of blessed memory by name Moses. Until his conversion, he was a terror to the villagers. Whenever he was on holiday, everyone ensured their children were safely locked indoors for fear of being defiled by him. But after his conversion, he began to serve God with the same intensity with which he served the devil. If you find yourself in the same taxi cab with him, he will not let you go until you receive Jesus Christ. If God can use Brother Moses, He can use you. History and experience tells us the greatest potentials for the gospel lie in the staunchest opposers of the good news, fanatical antichrists, and even atheists. They can end up as mighty vessels in God's hands. So do not pray that these should die because they are persecuting you and the Kingdom of God. Rather, ask that the One who arrested, converted and commissioned Paul will do same to them.
2 Timothy 2:20 places the vessels God uses into different categories; there are golden, silver, wooden, and earthen vessels. In Scriptures, one outstanding golden vessel in God's hands was Mary. There are certain opportunities and tasks that occur only once. Anyone so favoured to be used for such an assignment becomes very outstanding. There is no way our Lord Jesus Christ could have been born through a virgin more than once. So, in the choice of which virgin to use, virgins all over the world went through some kind of secret unofficial contest. This was a winner-takes-all situation. At the grand finale of the competition, one winner emerged! Mary! What a golden vessel she was! Even when you are not chosen for such a one-time opportunity, you can still be a golden vessel. In Acts 8:5-8, we see another golden vessel. As a deacon, Philip stood out of the crowd. He not only performed his duty in distributing food but allowed the Lord to use him to turn the city of Samaria to Christ. He became a reference point to someone who later became one of God's greatest golden vessels - Paul. The latter, an erstwhile antichrist, became so transformed that God began to perform special miracles through him (Acts 19:11-12). You too can become a golden vessel. However, are you prepared to pay the price? To be a golden vessel, you must be wholly yielded and obedient to Jesus. Your goal in life should be to serve and please God with no ulterior motive at all. Yes, you must be ready to die in the service of His Majesty. Are you ready?
THE FATHER’S BLESSING:”I pray for you today. You shall reach you divinely ordained goal, you shall fulfil you purpose and as a golden vessel in the hand of your Lord and Saviour Jesus, you shall do exploits, move mountains and be an instrument of His divine manifestation in the lives of all those who comes in contact with you in Jesus Name. (Amen)

ACTION POINT FOR TODAY:
A golden vessel will risk everything he or she has just to please the Master. Are you capable of taking the highest risk for Jesus? Pray that you will attain the level of Gal 2:20. “I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

GOD IS VERY RICH IN MERCY!

GOD IS RICH IN MERCIES AND GRACE
WHEN WE SIN IT IS HIS LAW WE BREAK, IT IS WRATH WE DESERVE BUT FOR HIS MERCY WE PLEAD AND IN HIS COMPASSION AND GRACE HE GIVES US WHAT WE DO NOT DESERVE HIS MERCY
MEMORY VERSE: "All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies." (Psalm 25:10).

BIBLE READING : Psalm 25:6-10
6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.
8 ¶ Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
B
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us," (Eph 2:4).
God is a God of mercy. Mercy is one of His outstanding attributes. It is not possible to separate God from mercy, even when He is passing a judgement. He is able to demonstrate so much mercy because He has it in abundance. He is rich in mercy. If you have something in abundance, it is easy for you to give some out. Mercy and grace are somewhat similar. Mercy ensures you are not paid in your own coin - that is, you do not get what you deserve for a wrong deed. After a criminal is apprehended, tried in a court of law and found guilty, setting such a criminal free is simply an act of mercy. On the other hand, grace is receiving what you do not deserve. So, having one automatically entails receiving the other. That is why 'mercy' and 'grace' are sometimes used interchangeably.
"All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies" (Ps 25:10). God's mercy is extended to all of creation - both animate and inanimate objects (Ps 145:9). This means that if you take a cursory look at each of God's creation, one common denominator is the mercy of God. Moreover, Matthew 5:45 says of all creatures, human beings enjoy more of God's mercy-irrespective of whether they are born-again Christians or not. This is why human beings are entitled to breathe in clean air, benefit from the sun, the moon, rainfall, etc., irrespective of whether they are at peace with God or not. As good as this may sound, it is not enough. Hence, today's reading tells us that if you do not want God's mercy on you to be limited to the level meant for all men, then you must take a step to cultivate a personal relationship with Him. The moment you confess and forsake your sins, and invite Jesus into your heart, that experience will move you to receive a higher level of God's mercy. From that moment on, you can enjoy God's great mercies in all you do. Whatever the level of mercy you enjoy now, you can move even higher by receiving Jesus, keeping His commandments, and honouring His covenant. This season you shall enjoy God's mercies in Jesus name.

THE FATHER’S BLESSING: “I pray for you today. God even our God who is rich in mercy, love, and grace will remember you for good. You will be the object of His Mercy and grace. He will be merciful unto you and will show you His compassion and these will extend to you and generations after you in the mighty name of Jesus. (Amen).

KEY POINT FOR TODAY
God is rich in mercy. The closer you are to Him, the more of His mercies you enjoy. Show mercy!

BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT!

BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
JUNE 13, 2011

. . . I [have] raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee . –Romans 9:17
Walter Knight tells the story about a little boy who had recently received Christ. “Daddy, how can I believe in the Holy Spirit when I have never seen Him?” asked Jim. “I’ll show you how,” said his father, who was an electrician. Later Jim went with his father to the power plant where he was shown the generators. “This is where the power comes from to heat our stove and to give us light. We cannot see the power, but it is in that machine and in the power lines,” said the father. “I believe in electricity,” said Jim. “Of course you do,” said his father, “but you don’t believe in it because you see it. You believe in it because you see what it can do. Likewise, you can believe in the Holy Spirit because you can see what He does in people’s lives when they are surrendered to Christ and possess His power.”
A boy to class and an Atheist Teacher trying to prove there is no God asked him if he has ever seen God. The boy asked the teacher if she has ever seen her brain? What we is is temporal while the unseen is eternal. The Holy Spirit is God and had all the attributes of God and is abiding with us forever!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Make my heart completely devoid of self so that it can be filled with Your Spirit, Lord.

REFINING FIRE!

REFINING FIRE!
Colossians 1:27 speaks of Christ in you. Bible writers carefully chose their words. Christ 'in' you means 'the Anointed One in you. God created man from the earth (Gen 2:7). Just as beneath the earth are tremendous resources such as iron, brass, silver and gold; inside you lies tremendous potentials that only the Anointed One can unearth. In John 14:12 Jesus says those who believe in Him will be able to do greater works. Through His power, you can heal the sick, raise the dead and do what people call impossible. However, before God can use you to do these, there is a need for you to pass through his 'refining fire'. This will change you from your raw state to a usable finished state. When iron is extracted from the ground, it is purified by fire. If iron stays long enough in the fire, it becomes steel. It is the refining of brass in fire that turns it into bronze. Silver and gold are also refined after being brought out of the ground. You need to be refined for the gold, silver or bronze in you to come to the limelight (Zech 13:8-9; Mal 3:2-3). According to 1 Peter 1:7, such refining may come as trials of faith. If you have not gone through trials, it might be the reason why you have not achieved much. Ask for grace to go through fiery tests victoriously.

Some people go through fire but instead of delivering their gold, they are burned by it. Pray that fire will reveal your gold

SOON THAT BATTLE WILL BE OVER!

SOON THE BATTLE WILL BE OVER!
THOSE PROBLEMS SHALL SOON BECOME PAST TENSE (HISTORY) THEY ARE HERE FOR A MOMENT AND NOT TO STAY. THE DIVINE SUPREME COUNCIL IN HEAVEN HAVE SERVES THEM A QUIT NOTICE AND YOUR DAYS OF CAPTIVITY ARE OVER AS THE LORD WILL CONTEND WITH THOSE CONTENDING WITH YOU!

Memory Verse: "For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off." (Prov 23:18).
Bible Reading: Proverbs 23:17-18 Isaiah 49:24-26 (Amplified Bible)
24. Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captives of the just be delivered?
25. For thus says the Lord: Even the captives of the mighty will be taken away, and the prey of the terrible will be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will give safety to your children and ease them.
26. And I will make those who oppress you consume themselves [in mutually destructive wars], thus eating their own flesh; and they will be drunk with their own blood, as with sweet wine; and all flesh will know [with a knowledge grounded in personal experience] that I, the Lord, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

"And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage" (Exodus 2:23). After holding the Israelites in slavery for many years, the Egyptian king died. This means that no problem lasts forever. If this powerful king could die, then human enemies don't last forever. Why? According to Hebrews 9:27, they must keep an appointment with death. Every problem in your life has an expiry date beyond which it can no longer trouble you. In fact, at the point of expiration, some problems become the solution you have been seeking. What is more important is that you do not expire or retire before the expiration of the problem. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, you will see the end of that problem: it shall not see your end. You shall not expire before the expiration of your problem
.
"For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off" (Prov 23:18). If you were in doubt before, do know today, that there is an end to your problems. Your human enemies cannot operate beyond a certain limit. If the Egyptian king could die, every strong man or woman in your life has an end. That strong man is limited. You shall see the end of satanic agents troubling you. This season, the Lord will cut off everything standing in your way to your breakthrough. God will cut them off so that your expectations shall be realized. For a user of this devotional, you have been wondering when God's promises to you will be fulfilled because of the strong presence of the enemy. Rejoice! The Lord will cut them off just to enable Him grant your expectations and fulfil His promise. Worship the Lord with all your heart and thank Him in advance.
THE FATHER’S BLESSING:”I pray for someone reading this message today, the day of you captivity is over, every force suppressing your glory are going to face the wrath of God. Every tongue against you release are going to face divine condemnation. Every arrow and javelin thrown at you are subject to the order of “Return to senders” as they have the Lord God to contend with in the mighty name of Jesus.” (Amen)

PRAYER ACTION FOR TODAY
Thank God for causing your problems to expire and making you to see their end.

THE LORD WILL DEFEND HIS ANOINTING ON HIS ANOINTED!

Wednesday, March 30th, 2011 Bible in one year: Mark 7:1 - Mark 10:52
THE LORD WILL DEFEND HIS ANOINTED
TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED AND DO MY PROPHETS NO HARM AS THE LORD WILL HAVE TO DEFEND HIS ANOINTING ON HIS ANOINTED THEIR RELATIONS, NOT SPARED!

Memory Verse: "And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD's anointed, and be guiltless?" (1 Sam 26:9).

Read: 2 Samuel 6:20-23

20 ¶ Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!
21 And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before his entire house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.
22 And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.
23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.

Apart from sin and breaking God's order on the Holy Communion, another cause of sickness among believers is the wrong use of the tongue-particularly in speaking against the anointed of God. In Numbers 12:1-16, Miriam and Aaron were not happy that Moses married an Ethiopian woman. That became a subject of discussion to the extent that they began to say unprintable things about their younger brother who was the leader of the nation. Though Moses refrained from taking up issues with the leaders of the revolt who were his own siblings, God did something about it. God's response brought about the worst disease outbreak of their day-leprosy, upon Miriam. But for Moses' intercession, the leader of the Israeli women in the wilderness could have died a leper! If God's reaction in verse 8 is anything to go by, you must handle God's anointed with care. You must be afraid to speak against, gossip about, or instigate people against a truly anointed servant of God. And if you hurt God's anointed, even if he or she refuses to do something about it, God will defend His anointing on His anointed!

Many people have pegged their progress and contracted different types of diseases that defy prayers and medication because they have spoken against the Lord's anointed. Even when God's anointed does wrong or errs, do not make the fellow a subject of gossip; it is dangerous to do so. Do you know that gossiping about men of God is a fast way of losing God's unction and power? If after spending hours in God's presence, fellowshipping and basking in His glory, you talk down your pastor, the result will be that all you gathered for several hours will leak out in a matter of minutes! Barrenness became a permanent feature in the life of Michal, David's wife, because she spoke against her husband who was God's anointed. God will not spare relations who violate His anointed! For wrong use of her tongue against her husband, Michal became one of the few women who started and ended up barren. Wives, stop speaking against your husbands! Children, stop speaking against your parents, particularly when they are servants of God! You can get your fingers burnt!

THE FATHER’S BLESSING: “I pray for you today, as the anointed of the only living God, you will never suffer from the tongue of men. Anybody, who attempt to harm you is attempting to touch the apple of God’s eye and will have the Consuming Fire Himself to contend with as the Lord will fight for you in the mighty name of Jesus.” (Amen)

ACTION POINT FOR TODAY
Some mouths attract sicknesses others attract healings. What does your mouth attract?

THE SECRETS OF A SUCCESSFUL MINISTRY!

THE SECRETS OF A SUCCESSFUL MINISTRY

The word Minister is a Latin word meaning Servant. We are servants of the Most High God, in the sense that He has sent us to work with Him. Because more than anything else, we are His children. This morning I want to talk to you about the secrets of success in the Ministry. By the grace of God, I have discovered the secrets of a successful Ministry which I want to share with you. I believe if you are willing to do what the word of God says, I am sure your Ministry will succeed.

How did I discover these secrets? It is by studying the only one who I knew succeeded beyond all measures. That is our Lord Jesus Christ Himself. God used only one verse in the scripture to open my eyes to these valuable secrets – Acts 10:38 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with Holy Ghost and with Power; who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devils, for God was with Him”.

There are 2 major secrets in the verse:-
a. Anointing
b. Divine presence.

A. ANOINTING: - Jesus was anointed with Holy Ghost and with Power
i. It is possible to get the Holy Ghost and no power
ii. It is possible to get power and no Holy Ghost
iii. It is possible to get both Holy Ghost and Power –
Acts 1:8"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth"
Zech.4:6 "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts."

If you examine the life of Jesus Christ, you will discover that everything He did on earth from the beginning to the end was done through the Holy Ghost.
1. He was conceived by the Holy Ghost.
2. He was baptised by the Holy Ghost
3. He did His examination by the Holy Ghost – Matt.4:1 "Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil."
4. All His preaching He did by the Holy Ghost
5. He did not perform a single miracle until He had been baptised in the Holy Spirit.
6. Jesus died through the Holy Spirit – Heb. 9:14 "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?"
7. He was resurrected by the Power of the Holy Spirit
8. He did all His Post Resurrection works through the Holy Spirit – Acts. 1:2"Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:"

From His conception to the very moment He was lifted from this world, It was the Holy Spirit all the way. Now if Jesus needed the Holy Spirit that much, how can you think you will succeed without the Holy Spirit.
DISPENSATIONS: We are now in the dispensation of God the Holy Spirit. There are three dispensations of the Holy Trinity.
1. Dispensation of God the Father – Old Testament
2. Dispensation of God the Son – Yes to come at the Millennium
3. Dispensation of God the Holy Spirit - Now

B. DIVINE PRESENCE
Jesus succeeded in His earthly Ministry because God was with Him. You need the divine presence of God to succeed. Why?

1. you cannot handle the devil alone, he is older and wiser – James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
2. You need divine intervention of God to succeed for genuine signs and wonders
3. There is a difference between divine backing and divine presence. Divine backing gives you authority while divine presence gives you power.2Kings 6:1-3 (1. And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us. 2. Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye. 3. And one said, Be content, I pray thee, and go with thy servants. And he answered, I will go.")
4. There is a possibility of working for God and not with God. Moses – Exo.33:12-15(" 12. And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. 13. Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. 14. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. 15. And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence." )
5. You need divine backing to exercise the Authority given in Mark 16:15-18. ( "15. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."
6. The moment your will is not in line with His will, you are on your own and that is failure. The moment your plan crosses His plan, you will be in greater trouble – Like if God wants you to be in a town outside London and you insisted it is London for you. Remember Gehazi and his leprosy.

C. HOLINESS: -
The two major things you need, Anointing and Divine Presence comes down to one thing – Holiness
1. You need holiness for the anointing to flow – Heb.1:9" Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows."
2. The secret of divine blessing is holiness – 1Peter1:15-16." 15. But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16. Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."
3. You want God to be working with you? Birds of the same plumage flock together – Amos 3:3, "3.Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" He is a Holy God.

D. CALL TO MISSION:-
The call to Mission is the logical outcome of the changed life. We are changed into His image who said “As the Father has sent me, even so I send you”. It is the out of the Holy Spirit’s vision that sees a lost world as Christ saw it, and is willing to follow in His footsteps. The field is the world; beginning at Jerusalem – where you were when you were converted. The opportunity of going to foreign lands is only available for the few. The called ones are those who have heard God saying “who will GO for me” and who have answered, “Here am I Lord send me “Isa.6:8
You must be ready to pay the price for your call – Moses willing to be blotted out of the Book of life for His brethren. – Exo.32:32, Paul willing to be accursed for his kinsmen – Romans 9:3. The biggest mission field before you today is our beloved UK – which has been described as the 2nd most ungodly nation next to Japan.

THE FATHER'S BLESSING."I pray for you today as you read this message. You will not fail, you will not fall, you will not fade, you will not falter in the call of God on your life. The Lord will work with you, He will work around you, God will work through you and He will work against your enemies and like Paul, you will reach your goal, Like Joseph you will fulfill your dream and your destiny and like Jesus you will succeed beyond measure in the mighty name of Jesus." (Amen).

THE GREAT PHYSICIAN IS STILL ON DUTY: THAT SICKNESS IS NOT UNTO DEATH!

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011
Bible in on year Josh. 10-12

YES NOT UNTO DEATH!

THAT YOUR SICKNESS IS NOT UNTO DEATH IT IS THE LIE OF THE DEVIL THE REVERSER OF THE IRRIVERSIBLE IS AVAILABLE TO DELIVER AND SET YOU FREE!

Memory Verse: "When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby." (John 11:4)

Bible Reading: John 11:1-4

1 ¶ Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.
2 (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)
3 Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

God's vessels of honour are used in making statements in the world. Sometimes, He can use some vessels to reveal His ability to make the impossible possible. He can also use some to demonstrate His ability to reverse the irreversible. When His friend Lazarus was sick, and He was informed in John 11:1-44, Jesus kept His cool and stayed back for four days. Many people would want to know why He did that to His friend. It was simply because the Lord wanted to use Lazarus to tell the world that no matter how bad a matter had degenerated, it could still be reversed if only He is brought into the picture. If you were left like Lazarus in a bad situation that was getting worse, it would not have been funny at all. Lazarus died and was buried. He was already stinking. Not even his sisters would want to come close at this point yet, the Lord went into that stinking tomb and reversed the irreversible. This tells us that no situation is beyond redemption. How bad is your situation today? Is it so bad that the matter got buried and sealed? It shall be exhumed and reversed today. Is your situation so stinky and repulsive that nobody wants to give a listening ear? Fear not! The Lord will wade into that stench, and cause a fresh scent, and a compelling aroma to waft out.

"When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby" (John 11:4). One lesson here is that while sickness may be the avenue to leave this world, like it was for Elisha (2 Kings 13:14), it could also be a means to glorify God and encourage God's ministers. If you find out that a particular sickness is due to any of the above reasons, you would know how to handle it. On the other hand, some sicknesses are from the devil and must be rejected. In addition, if the Lord tells you that you will not die through a particular illness, even if you became dead like Lazarus, you will still live. That sickness in your body will not kill you. Are you already yielding to death because you feel you cannot hold on any longer? You shall not die! There shall be an expedited reversal of your state of health. You shall recover!

THE FATHER’S BLESSING: “I pray for someone reading this message today or someone believing this message for a very close loved one. The Great Reverser of the irreversible will reverse that negative report of the doctors. As the Great Physician totally heal you of that incurable disease and set you completely free and remember, He will not share His glory with anybody including you in the mighty name of Jesus.” (Amen)

STATEMENT OF FAITH AND PRAYER FOR TODAY
If the Resurrection and the Life (Jesus) says death shall not take you, even if death has swallowed you, it shall vomit you. Father, every good thing death has taken from me, be restored today in Jesus name!

YOU HAVE POWER TO BOUNCE BACK! YES YOU WITH JESUS!

Monday, February 14th, 2011
Bible in A Year: Josh 4-6

POWER TO BOUNCE BACK AS YOUR SMYRNA LIVES AGAIN!
HAS THE DEVIL STRUCK YOU AND YOU ARE FLAT ON THE FLOOR? NEVER ACCEPT DEFEAT! YOU ARE DOWN BUT NOT OUT! YOU TOO CAN BOUNCE BACK! YES, I MEAN YOU!

Memory Verse: "Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me." (Micah 7:8)

Bible Reading: Revelation 2:8-11
8 ¶ And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich ) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
10 Fear none of those things, which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Of the seven churches the Lord wrote letters to, only two passed His assessment. The church at Smyrna was one of them. The Lord had nothing against them. May the Lord help you to a point where He will find nothing against you. A look at the history of Smyrna shows that it was founded, then destroyed, then rebuilt. The new rebuilt city was extremely beautiful. One of the finest of all Asian cities then, it was referred to as the 'ornament', 'crown' or 'flower' of Asia. One of its streets was called 'street of gold'. It proudly harboured a stadium, a public library and a home of music. Several idols such as Zeus, Apollo and Aphrodite had their temples there. Smyrna was a trading city and there were several influential Jews there. This magnificent city was really a beehive of activities.

In His letter, the Lord introduced Himself as the One who was dead but is now alive. To any resident of Smyrna, this statement was something they could relate with, as Smyrna was once dead but then lived again. This speaks of the capacity to bounce back after a fall. If a city was destroyed and after 300 years it bounced back formidably to the extent of becoming the envy of other cities of Asia, you too can bounce back from your backslidden state and overtake those ahead of you. This tells us that a fall is not final until the fallen accepts defeat. Has the devil struck you down and you are flat on the floor? Never accept defeat! You are down but not out!

"Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me" (Micah 7:8). The power to bounce back is present in Christ. Peter fell to a point of denying Christ thrice but afterwards, he keyed into this grace and he bounced back. Are you a fallen soldier of the cross? Don't stay down: Arise in the strength of Christ. You fall to rise, not rise to fall or stay fallen. No matter how badly you have fallen, you are bouncing back strong. That you fell does not mean you cannot be a winner or an 'overcomer'. Virtually everyone who overcame or won once experienced a fall or decline. Get up! Stand up! Take your rightful place now. The power of the Lord is right behind you.

THE FATHER’S BLESSING: “I pray for someone reading this message today. Those who have been laughing at you because of your present slip and predicaments will soon run back to you, to join you and laugh with you. Your days of Restorations commence now and you shall pursue, overtake and recover all in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ.” (Amen.)

PRAYER ACTION FOR TODAY
Pray that God will revive weak believers and restore backsliders in our churches.

YOUR ALABASTER BOX OF OINTMENT!

Sunday, February 13rd, 2011
Bible in A Year: Josh1-3

WHERE'S YOUR SPIKENARD: ALABASTER BOX OF OINTMENT?
WHEN THE TIME TO FAVOUR YOU IS RIPE GOD WILL GIVE YOU AN UNUSUAL OPPORTUNITY THAT WILL TAX YOUR FAITH AND CONFIRM YOUR REDINESS AND CAPACITY TO RECEIVE FROM GOD

Memory Verse: "Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:" (Proverbs 6:6).

Read: Mark 14:3-9
3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.
7 For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.
8 She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
9 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

One way of knowing that your time of favour has come is when God gives you unusual opportunities. For King Solomon, God gave him the unusual opportunity to ask for whatever he wanted in a dream. "In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee" (2 Chron 1:7). However, that opportunity did not just come on its own, it was provoked by Solomon's sacrifice of a thousand burnt offerings in one night. This simply tells us that there are things you can do to hasten or provoke your day of favour. Giving extraordinarily can trigger your favour. Unfortunately, many who are asking God for their day of favour are still holding back. Do you know that if Solomon had not given that landmark offering, he would not have accessed the wisdom that made him the wisest man on earth? Sometimes, God folds His hands and observes how far you can go for Him. He wants to see the extent of your love. He wants to see the level of risk you can take for Him. Have you given Him that landmark gift that provokes an open cheque? Looking at the life of Solomon, you would discover that the wealth that followed his gift cannot be compared to what he gave. He never became poor all his life. He rather became the wealthiest man of his time-comparable with the billionaires of our time. You cannot lose out when you give to God. Do not deny yourself of the opportunity of a lifetime!

In Mark 14:3-9, the Lord was taking a meal in Simon's house when a woman came in. Before then, she had thought of how to make a lasting, positive impression on the Lord. Then, she remembered her expensive box of ointment. 'Yes! The Lord deserves my best!' she said to herself, and took the box with her. God only knows how long she had kept that treasure. When she got to the Lord, she opened it and anointed Him. On realizing the value of that perfume, some people around became angry. To them, it was a waste of money anointing the Lord with such expensive oil. Unknown to her, she had keyed into prophetic declaration concerning the death and burial of the Lord. As a result, her name and deeds were etched in gold in the heavenly Hall of Fame. Thousands of years later, her gift is still speaking for her. When we get to Heaven, we will see her. Are you still hiding your box of spikenard?

THE FATHER’S BLESSING: “I pray for someone reading this message today, the Lord will grant you the unction and sensitive spirit that will allow you to know the day of your visitation for divine favour Every destiny killers in around you are destroyed in the mighty name of Jesus.” (Amen)

KEY POINT FOR TODAY
Give God your best.

START POSSESSING YOUR POSSESSION NOW

Saturday, February 12nd, 2011
Bible in A Year: 1 Thess 1-3

HEIGHTS, SIGHT AND POSSESSIONS
YOUR HEIGHT DETERMINES THE RANGE OF YOUR VISION AND THAT DETERMINES YOUR POSSESSIONS: IF YOU CAN SEE IT WITH THE EYES OF FAITH YOU CAN POSSESS IT

Memory Verse: "For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever." (Gen 13:15).

Bible Reading: Genesis 13:14-15

14 ¶ And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.

Perception is necessary for discovery and recovery. What you see determines what you get. If you cannot 'see' divine healing in the Bible, but just read about it, you may never experience it. So many believers have heard of divine healing but very few have experienced it because they cannot 'see' the true picture as presented in God's Word. In Genesis 13:14-15, God told Abraham to take the look of his life; just one look, and whatever he saw became his. If you were asked to take that one life-changing look, what will you do? You would climb to a very high mount, get a vantage point that guarantees the best view, before you take that look. If you were on a mountain top, you would have a great view and as a result greater possessions than if you were in a valley. In the same way, your spiritual level determines how much you can benefit from God's Kingdom. Whenever you are spiritually high, you will be able to derive greater understanding and revelations from the Bible than when you are in the valley of sin. Any time you are in sin, you are 'down'. Do all you can to remain on the mountain top of God's presence! The extent of your vision is the limit of your possession. You cannot possess what you cannot see. Anything the eye of your spirit-man can envision, God will deliver into your hands.

In Exodus 2:2, Jochebed saw something in Moses that other people could not see. While other Hebrew women were seeing their new born baby-boys as dead, Jochebed saw her baby boy as alive, contrary to the king's verdict. She simply made an exception for her baby. She said, 'All other Hebrew male children may die but my baby boy will live', and it was so. Today, because of the economic down turn, many people are seeing death in their businesses. But the 'overcomers' see life. In the face of an epidemic, what are you seeing: life or death? You can only get what you see. Like Jochebed, make yourself an exception, and it will be so. No matter how dire a situation is, there is always a positive side to focus on. As you do so, good outcomes will be your portion.

THE FATHER’S BLESSING: “I pray for you as you read this message today, the Lord will open your spiritual eyes to see beyond your present predicament, there is light behind the tunnel, that the present weeping may last till the night, but there is joy in the morning. Very soo, your joy shall be full in the mighty name of Jesus.” (Amen)

I LOVE AND CHERISH THE NARROW OLD PATHS!

THE OLD PATHS

I liked the old paths, when Moms were at home.
Dads were at work.
Brothers went into the army.
And sisters got married BEFORE having children!

Crime did not pay;
Hard work did;
And people knew the difference.

Moms could cook;
Dads would work;
Children would behave.
Husbands were loving;
Wives were supportive;
And children were polite.

Women wore the jewellery;
And Men wore the pants.
Women looked like ladies;
Men looked like gentlemen;
And children looked decent.

People loved the truth,
And hated a lie;
They came to church to get IN, Not to get OUT!
Hymns sounded Godly;
Sermons sounded helpful;
Rejoicing sounded normal;
And crying sounded sincere.

Cursing was wicked;
Drugs were for illness;
And divorce was unthinkable.
The flag was honoured;
West Africa was beautiful;
And God was welcome!

We read the Bible in public;
Prayed in school;
And preached from house to house
To be called an African was worth dying for;
To be called a Christian was worth living for;
To be called a traitor was a shame!

Preachers preached because they had a message;
And Christians rejoiced because they had the VICTORY!
Preachers preached from the Bible;
Singers sang from the heart;
And sinners turned to the Lord to be SAVED!

A new birth meant a new life;
Salvation meant a changed life;
Following Christ led to eternal life.
Being a preacher meant you proclaimed the word of God;
Being a deacon meant you would serve the Lord;
Being a Christian meant you would live for Jesus;
And being a sinner meant someone was praying for you!

Laws were based on the Bible;
Homes read the Bible;
And churches taught the Bible.
God was worshiped;
Christ was exalted;
And the Holy Spirit was respected..
Church was where you found Christians on the Lord's day, rather than in the garden, on the creek bank, on the golf course, Or being entertained somewhere else.
I still like the old paths the best!

"I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work." (John 9: 4)

YOUR CHILDREN ARE YOUR MIRROR YOUR REFLECTION!

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Eph 4:1 - Eph 6:24
Wednesday, January 26th, 2011

YOUR CHILDREN ARE YOUR REFLECTION
THE SON OF A GOAT IS A GOAT: THE SON OF A SHEEP IS A SHEEP: THE SON OF A MAN IS A MAN: THE SON OF THE DEVIL IS A DEVIL: THE SON OF GOD IS GOD

Memory Verse: "Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter." (Ezekiel 16:44)

Read: Ezekiel 16:44-46

44 ¶ Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.
45 Thou art thy mother's daughter, that lotheth her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, which lothed their husbands and their children: your mother was an Hittite, and your father an Amorite.
46 And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.

Children that are well brought up in God's ways are a great blessing to their parents. They can be God's vessel of reaching their very busy parents. Children love to copy others, particularly their parents. This explains why raising children should not be limited to instructions, but also by the example of the parents. As young as they are, your children are watching you closely. You would be shocked to know how much your pre-teens know about you. If your instructions are at variance with your actions, you can get them confused. This can even convince them never to take your faith seriously. Your action, behaviour and beliefs must complement the instructions you give to them.

Many years ago, while I was still the pastor of one of our parishes and lecturing at the university, it was common for people to come to my house, bringing in the sick for prayers, or for one reason or the other. While praying for them sometimes, they will be slain in the spirit (fall down and be unconscious for some time). My boy of less than three years old, who was the second to the last child, was always watching. One day, we had a visitor who came with her child. My little boy went into my room, grabbed my tie and hung it on his neck. To him, wearing a tie was what made one a pastor. Thereafter, he went to meet one of my visitor's child, closed his eyes and laid his hands on the child. I noticed his mouth was moving. Not long after his prayer, he opened his eyes and told the child: "Fall down, now". It may sound amusing, yet your children are taking in lots of details from your life. What are your children learning from you? As leaders, what are your subordinates learning from you? Your children are your fruits, and it is by your fruits that you shall be identified. If your children were far from where you are, would they adequately reflect the Christ-likeness in you? It is easy for parents to hide from outsiders, but they cannot hide from their children. The character of your children will show the world who you really are.
THE FATHER’S BLESSING;”I pray for someone reading this message today. Your Children shall be taught of God and great shall be their peace. As a righteous man, you shall not be forsaken neither shall your children ever beg for food as long as you continue to train them to fear God and obey His commandments in the mighty name of Jesus.” (Amen)

ACTION POINT FOR TODAY
Children will either mirror Christ they see in their parents or Satan they find in them. . What do your children show the world about you?

YOU ARE SPECIAL, YOU ARE UNIQUE, YOU HAVE NO DUPLICATE!

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Sam. 11-13
Saturday, January 22nd, 2011

YOU ARE SPECIAL, YOU ARE UNIQUE
LIKE YOUR FINGERPRINT YOU HAVE NO DUPLICATE, YOU ARE NOT THE COLOUR OF YOUR SKIN OR HAIR, YOUR HEIGTH, SIZE OR EDUCATION. YOU ARE A SPECIAL AND UNIQUE DESIGNER MODEL OF THE GOD OF ALL CREATION.

Memory Verse: "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well"  (Ps 139:14).

Bible Reading: Psalm 139:13-18
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
17 ¶ How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

In Exodus 2:1-2, after Jochebed conceived, Moses was born. That great, God-glorifying vision you have conceived for your life shall be born in Jesus name. Another lesson from this story is that nothing happens by chance. There is a stroke of divine touch in every seeming random event. The birth of Moses was not an accident (Ex 6:20). There was a void - the need to salvage the Israelites from Egyptian slavery of 430 years. God had a purpose for Moses. In fact, he was born out of necessity. He was born to fill a gap. He was born to solve a problem. In the same vein, your birth is no accident. You were not just born to add to the number of earth's men and women. You are wonderfully and fearfully made (Ps 139:14). Do you know that there is something unique about you? There is something special in you that will make the world regard you. No matter how poor, neglected, or downtrodden you are, you have what it takes to be at the top.

The tendency is for people to look down on you. They will evaluate you based on their yardsticks and write you off. They will say you can never make it to the top. They will say you can never make it in life. Don't believe their lies! Whenever somebody or a situation tells you that you are less than who God says you are, then return to God's Word and verify, for the picture of who you are is in the Bible. Anything that falls short of that picture must be rejected; such is not your portion. Always believe and confess what God has spoken concerning you.

You are a bundle of solutions! You are a solution to your world! Believe it or not, like Moses, there is a problem that only you can solve. Do you know that there are certain souls that only you could lead to Christ? If you fail to do so, such souls will go to hell. There is a gap that only you can fill; you are indeed unique. To discover and fulfil your purpose on earth, you need to have a personal relationship with the One who has the blueprint for your life-the Lord Jesus Christ. Study His Word and live by it. Pray regularly, asking for His direction in all your ways. Never think about the negative impression people have about you. You shall succeed in life.
THE FATHER’S BLESSINGS: “I pray for someone reading this message right now. Those who have been looking down on you will soon be looking up to you, Those who have been laughing at you , this season will start laughing with you, as you stand up against all odds and human expectations to occupy your divinely giving position in the mighty Name of Jesus.” (Amen}.

ACTION POINT FOR TODAY
Father, let me know my purpose on earth and help me fulfill it.
You are special,
You are loved,
You are appreciated

WHO IS YOUR COUNSELLOR?

WHO IS YOUR COUNSELOR?
No man is an Island, you cannot do it alone. You need God and godly counsels to reach your god-given goal and finish strong and finish well.
Memory verse: "And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper" (Psalm 1:3).

Bible Reading: Psalm 1:1-3
1 ¶ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

According to Proverbs 13:20, a wise person is identified by the company he keeps. Similarly, the one who keeps bad company will become a victim of their folly. Who do you associate with? By your association, can you be termed wise? May the Lord make you wise in Jesus’ name.

According to today's reading, a wise person is also identified by his choice of counselors. "Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors’ there is safety" (Prov 11:14). It is a big risk to embark on something you have little or no knowledge about. It is even a greater risk to seek advice from those who have no knowledge or experience about the issue at hand. One lesson here is that the strength or quality of your decisions is a function of the level of knowledge and experience your counselors have. Receiving advice from good counselors means reduced risks, eliminating errors, effective time management, and prompt achievement of goals. To get the full benefit of counseling, ensure you choose the right counselors. You are where you are today because of the counsel and counselors you chose.

Who is your counselor? Your counselor would either be a catalyst or hindrance to your destination. A minister of God in his early forties regretted not having access to a good counselor some 20 years earlier when he earned some good income as a salesman. He spent lavishly and believed that money would keep coming. The only thing to show for his years of abundance was a piece of land, which his landlord compelled him to buy. All the rest was wasted! Yet, there was another brother who did not earn as much but because of wise counsel, started investing his little income in shares. Twenty years later, he could afford to buy cars, build houses and live a decent life. While the former, well endowed as he was, was cash strapped, the latter, who was less endowed, was buoyant. What advice are you receiving? Another lesson from today's passage is that there is a correlation between the advice you get and your destination. If you will flourish according to Psalm 1:3, then you must shun advice from the ungodly. Choose godly advisers; make the Word of God and the Holy Spirit your advisers and you will begin to prosper.

THE FATHER’S BLESSING: “I pray for you today, the Lord will guide your choice of destiny helpers and counselors so that you can be safe in your decisions. I pray you will be able to identify “the wolfs in sheep clothing” around you and avoid them. So that you may prosper in all you do this season in the name of Jesus.” (Amen.)

ACTION POINT FOR TODAY.
If you have gotten into a messy situation by following certain advice, change your advisers.
