FEAR NOT & BE NOT AFRAID

FEAR NOT: BE NOT AFRAID

BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE, FEAR NOT NOR BE AFRAID OF THEM: FOR THE LORD THY GOD, HE IT IS THAT DOTH GO WITH THEE; HE WILL NOT FAIL THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE.

Memory Verse: "And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last" (Rev 1:17)

Bible Passage: Rev 1:17-20
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

Seeing Jesus in His glorified form reminds us that it is possible for us to share in that same glory. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord". Yes, you can resemble your Master Jesus. Here, what you focus on is very crucial. What you see regularly has a way of blending into you. Little by little, you begin to tolerate negative things you see and classify them commonplace. That evil is rampant does not make it right. This is why you must be absolutely careful of what you feed your eyes upon. If you focus on Jesus and His Word, like Him you will be. Also, according to Romans 8:17-18, The picture of the glorified Christ tells us that one day, we too shall be glorified. In fact, according to that scripture, there is no comparison between our earthly sufferings and denials with the Heavenly glory and joy awaiting us. The more you suffer for His Name sake, the greater will be your glory eternally. The question now is: Are you suffering for Christ?

Moreover, when John fainted on seeing the glorified Christ, the Lord touched him and said, 'Fear Not'. During His earthly days, He said the same words on different occasions. For instance, in Matthew 14:26-27 while the disciples were trapped mid-sea amidst storms, the Lord walked to them and said, 'Fear Not'. At the Mount of Transformation, when the trio were shown a glimpse of His glory, they were taken by fear; so He said, 'Fear Not'. When addressing the presence and power of evil men who may want to kill God's children, the Lord said, 'Fear Not' (Matt 10:28-33). When He gave Peter a net-breaking catch of fish and he was gripped with fear, the Lord told him, 'Fear Not' (Luke 5:10). Why must you not fear? There is no situation you come across that is beyond His handling. Besides, fear cannot solve or improve but complicate the situation. Hold on and call on the Lord in faith and He will make a way.

THE FATHER’S BLESSING: “I pray for you as you read this message today, The Lord is saying to you, Fear Not! In that difficult, or next to impossible situation, Jesus is by your side saying Fear Not! Whatever the storm you are in - physical, spiritual, financial, etc. He says Fear Not. You are coming out victorious. The Lord has already provided for the solution. You will come out well and gloriously strong in the mighty name of Jesus.” (Amen.)
